Trends

Granular breakdowns of P&L and win rate by day of week, hour of day, and days to expiration.

The Trends page slices your closed-trade results along several axes - weekday, hour of day, days to expiration, and (if enabled for your org) entry delta - so you can spot the patterns behind your headline P&L. Every chart on the page respects the active date range and portfolio filter.

Summary stats

The header row rolls up everything inside the current filter:

  • Closed Trades - count of trades with realized P&L in the window.
  • Realized P&L - sum of realized P&L across those trades.
  • Win Rate - percent of closed trades with positive realized P&L.
  • Avg Win - mean realized P&L of profitable trades.
  • Avg Loss - mean realized P&L of losing trades (shown as a negative number).

Day-of-week breakdown

Closed trades grouped by the weekday of the close. Each bar shows the weekday's net P&L; the tooltip surfaces trade count and win rate. Useful for spotting days that consistently drive - or drain - your results. Weekends are hidden by default since most traders have no Sat/Sun P&L - toggle them on if you do.

Hour-of-day breakdown

P&L grouped by the opener's timestamp in your local timezone, in 30-minute buckets. Answers "when do my entries pay off?" rather than "when do I close them?" The tooltip surfaces trade count and win rate. The default view covers 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM since tradeable hours for most brokers fall inside that window - toggle Show all hours to see the full 24-hour view.

Days-to-expiration buckets

Trades are placed into five DTE bands based on the days between the close and the contract's expiration:

  • 0 DTE - same-day expiration (a growing category of its own).
  • 1-7 DTE - closed in the final week before expiration.
  • 8-21 DTE - three weeks to a week out.
  • 22-45 DTE - roughly a month-and-a-half to three weeks out.
  • 46+ DTE - closed well before expiration (LEAPS land here).

Each bucket shows trade count, win rate, and average P&L per trade so you can compare strategies across timeframes (e.g. weeklies vs. monthlies).

Entry-delta buckets

If entry Greeks are enabled for your org, closed trades are also grouped by the absolute delta of the opening fill, in five bands from 0-20% to 80-100%. This shows whether your realized P&L skews toward trades opened close to the money or far out of the money.

Filters

  • Date range - All time, Last 7/30/90 days, This month, Last month.
  • Portfolio filter - scopes every chart and the summary stats to the selected portfolios.

Changing either re-runs the breakdown without leaving the page; while the new data lands, the previous values stay visible so the charts don't flash empty.

What feeds the page

  • Closed trades only. Open positions and partial fills don't show up; a trade contributes when it has realized P&L in the window.
  • Close timestamp drives day-of-week. That bucket reflects when you exited the trade.
  • Hour-of-day uses the opener's timestamp in your local timezone, in 30-minute bins - so the chart shows when the trades you eventually closed were initially put on.
  • DTE is measured at close. It's the days between the close timestamp and the contract's expiration date - i.e. how long you held the position into expiration.
  • Stock trades are excluded from DTE buckets (no expiration), but still count toward the day-of-week and hour-of-day charts when they close in the window.

Empty states

  • No closed trades at all → the page invites you to record some trades before trends can show anything.
  • No closed trades inside the current filter → the charts hide and you get a prompt to widen the date range or clear the portfolio filter.

Availability

Trends is a Pro feature. On the free tier the page shows an upgrade card listing the breakdowns available with a subscription. If the Trends page doesn't appear in your navigation at all, even on a Pro account, the feature hasn't been rolled out to your organization yet - reach out to Support.
